Volunteers make everything we do possible.  Volunteers participate in Voter Registration Events, help organize our programs and forums, speakers and our Annual Legislative Breakfast.

Donors like you have made us the most trusted voice in positive solutions to public policy issues. We rely on dues and donations to support our programs.

The LWV of the Syracuse Metro Area hosts a series of monthly and annual events. These are a great way to get out and meet other volunteers and learn about what we do at the local level.

LWV is an organization fully committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in principle and in practice. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to the organization’s current and future success in engaging all individuals, households, communities, and policy makers in creating a more perfect democracy.

We want to respectfully acknowledge the Haudenosaunee, on whose ancestral lands we now stand, and honor these “People of the Longhouse” who have stewarded this land throughout the generations.

We stand in solidarity with the indigenous struggle for the recognition of this Land as theirs, and are committed to the work of dismantling the Doctrine of Discovery. It was the Haudenosaunee who gave us the pattern of democracy on which our country was founded, and we recognize with gratitude their influence on women’s suffrage.
